Welcome to Wihcihaw Maskokamik Society

Our mission is to empower Indigenous individuals and families by providing culturally grounded, compassionate social services that promote healing, resilience, and self-determination. We are committed to honoring the wisdom of our ancestors while addressing the unique challenges faced by vulnerable members of our communities. Through holistic support, advocacy, and connection to culture, we walk alongside those we serve on their path toward well-being and strength.
As an Indigenous not for profit, the Wihcihaw Maskokamik Society stands with the vulnerable and unhoused people, offering a place of safety, dignity and belonging. We welcome anyone who walks through our doors. We honor the trust it takes to do so, and we do not take it lightly.
Our approach is rooted in respect, cultural safety and community care. When people feel safe, they begin to open up- to speak with Elders, connect with housing supports, join programs and take steps towards stability and healing. Every person’s path is different, and we walk alongside them with patience, humility and care. We believe in meeting people where they are, and helping them get to where they want to be.
